Today, Arwachin Public School organised a "Peace Walk" to spread the message of peace worldwide and commemorate the International Day of Non- violence marked on 2nd October, the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, leader of the Indian independence movement and pioneer of the philosophy and strategy of non-violence.
Our Principal, Dr. Sakshi Sharma along with parshad Mrs. Pratima Sharma ji and Mr. Rajeev Sharma ji started the peace walk. Parents and students joined the walk to contribute to this noble cause as peace volunteers and peace messengers. We covered a distance of 2.5 km with the help and guidance of local police station. The main aim of the peace walk is to spread peace among the society and cease wars. To promote the thought "We are one" everyone came together and contributed their parts for a better and peaceful society. Involvement in peace activities aims at inculcating the value of love, peace, harmony, gratitude and respect for each and every citizen.
After the walk, parents discussed their experiences, offered with refreshments and felicitated with participation certificates for their active participation in peace.
